Background and Experience
Lauren Misajon is a Deputy City Attorney whose practice focuses on servicing the legal needs of the Long Beach Harbor Department and its Board of Harbor Commissioners. Ms. Misajon primarily practices in the areas of municipal law, public contracts, environmental law, construction law, leasing, insurance, and related transactional matters. She is also Co-General Counsel to the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority.
Prior to joining the Long Beach City Attorney's Office, Ms. Misajon was in private practice specializing in real estate law and representing financial institutions in litigation.
Ms. Misajon is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before all the courts of the state of California. She is also a member of the Public Law Section of the State Bar of California.
Ms. Misajon received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ms. Misajon earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a merit scholarship recipient, member of the Appellate Moot Court Executive Board, and comment editor for the San Diego International Law Journal.
