The meeting was the eighth such gathering the city has hosted, all part of its Economic Development Blueprint

Economic inclusion was the focus as members of the Latino community from Long Beach and around the region gathered at Centro CHA, a non-profit human and social service agency, to collaborate with city officials this week.

The meeting — billed as the “Everyone In Latinx Community Conversation,” opting for the gender-neutral ethnic designation that is growing in popularity — was the eighth such gathering the city has hosted, all part of its Economic Development Blueprint.

Moderating were Councilmembers Rex Richardson, District 9, and Roberto Uranga, District 9, supported by representatives from Los Angeles Local Initiatives Support Corporation and Economic & Policy Impact Center. Key topics included housing and home ownership, small business, youth and workforce development.
