Prepare now and get informed and enroll at your Long Beach Health Department. Also new for 2020, there is financial help for health for individuals earning higher incomes.
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act there are many options available for uninsured individuals and families. The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services offers enrollment assistance with many of the health insurance programs such as Medi-Cal and Covered CA. Our enrollment specialist can determine program eligibility quickly over the phone.

For enrollment assistance, please have the following:
- Government-issued identification (Driver's License, ID Cards, or Military ID)
- Resident Alien Card (Green Card) if applicable
- Social Security Cards or numbers
- Paystubs and/or latest tax records
- Proof of pregnancy, if applicable
- 65yrs and older, call our office for a list of required documents
