Since Jan. 1, 2017, the Department is required by State law to enforce the 2016 Edition of California Building Standards Codes. Some of the information bulletins below may be impacted by the new Codes. Please be informed that the Department is in the process of updating these bulletins.

The information bulletins listed here overwrite previously published documents, memorandums, and other related public information handouts. Please note that some provisions or interpretations of the code as written in previous documents are no longer applicable due to subsequent code changes. Information from these outdated documents or handouts, if not included in the new information bulletins, will be treated as obsolete information.
