Nuisance Abatement Ordinance
“Nuisance” is an umbrella term that includes everything from noise disturbances, loitering, and the unlawful selling of controlled substances to overgrown vegetation and the violation of any Building Standards Code.

Under the City’s Nuisance Abatement Ordinance, any “person” or “responsible party” may be liable for the cost of the City’s investigation of complaints as well as a monetary fine of $5,000 per each nuisance event.
