Kids @ LBPL
Children of all ages can cultivate a love of reading, close the word gap, avoid summer slide, explore STEM activities and other technologies, celebrate diversity, and get homework assistance by visiting one of our twelve locations.
Our Digital Library provides access to eBooks and eAudio, educational databases, live homework assistance, and other avenues of enrichment even when our doors are closed!
LBPL Staff has compiled a list of helpful resources to help support your at-home learning efforts and keep young minds active during this challenging time.

At all Long Beach Public Library locations, parents and caregivers will find both fiction and nonfiction books on our Parenting Shelf that address the challenges of being a kid in today's world. These age-appropriate materials—many in picture book format—can help facilitate communication between adults and children who are dealing with difficult or complex topics, such as new siblings, death, divorce, discipline, potty training, new to school, friends, bullying, and much more.
