We have made significant gains when it comes to transportation dollars, mitigation dollars from the Port of Long Beach, new housing projects, and new business development. Now, I am working to ensure that every park in Long Beach is programmed in a fair and equitable way.

Historic Pine Ave. Sign Unveiling
City officials on Friday unveiled the new “Historic Pine Avenue” sign, a two-story high arch that stretches across Pine Avenue between 4th and 5th streets. The sign was lit up during an illumination ceremony beginning at 7 p.m., just in time for sunset.
First District Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez, joined by city traffic engineers, will be holding a public demonstration of how to utilize Downtown's first scramble crosswalks.
