Join us for vacation fun at the Nature Center! K-1st grade sessions take place in the morning from 9:30 to 11:30am, and K-4th grade sessions take place in the afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. Each class is $10 per student. Pre-registration is required, so be sure to sign up at the Nature Center or by calling (562) 570-1745. Get ready for some memorable moments in your child’s spring break with these fun workshops:
Monday, April 9: Mud Madness
It’s squishy and gooey and lots of fun! Join us for puddle pouncing, picture making, and sticky mud pies. Prepare to get dirty! Wear old clothes and bring a towel.
Tuesday, April 10: Hooray for Snakes
They’re scaly, slithery, and mysterious, but they’re also great hunters and interesting in many wonderful ways. Learn more as we get up close and personal with these fascinating creatures.
Wednesday, April 11: The Treasure of El Dorado
Adventure seekers will explore hidden habitats and mysterious wildlife as we follow clues from an ancient map. Come find out where “X” marks the spot!
Thursday, April 12: Opossum Odd-yssey
Join us as we investigate the awesome and sometimes unusual world of that funny little nighttime creature—the opossum.
Friday, April 13: Turtlemania
Some live on land and some can swim, but they all have that really cool shell. Come discover what the turtle world is all about!
