Even though our summer officially begins on June 20, most people feel like the Memorial Day weekend is the real start of the season lasting all the way through Labor Day. With that in mind Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine has once again partnered with the Long Beach Convention and Visitor's Bureau to create www.100daysofsummer.org, a searchable web site that lists hundreds of movies, concerts, Sea Festival events, museum and historic site programs, recreational swimming sessions, El Dorado Regional Park and El Dorado Nature Center activities, golf and tennis programs, recreation classes, and spontaneous fun like hiking and biking, dog parks and skate parks, and train rides. Take a stay cation this summer and enjoy free, low cost and exciting events and programs taking place in Long Beach.
