The public is invited to participate in a community open house for the Southeast Area Development and Improvement Plan (SEADIP) update, now known as the Southeast Area Specific Plan (SEASP), and provide input on the significant planning effort that will affect 1,500 acres of southeast Long Beach.
The open house has been scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2016, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Best Western Golden Sails Hotel Seafarer Room, 6285 E. Pacific Coast Highway.
The event will highlight the different components of the SEASP document, including land use, mobility, and design guidelines and standards. The event will also offer the community and local stakeholders an opportunity to provide input on the plan and speak one-on-one with the project team.
After an intensive two-year process, consisting of public outreach, analysis, and planning, a conceptual draft of the SEASP document has been made available for public viewing at http://bit.ly/1RjC325
. Once the public process has concluded, and City Council has taken action, then SEASP would replace SEADIP.
