El Dorado Dog Park Opening Ceremony Planned for Saturday February 8
Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster, 5th District Long Beach City
Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske, and the Department of Parks,
Recreation and Marine invite the public to a grand opening ceremony
for the El Dorado Dog Park on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10 am,
in the southeast corner of El Dorado East Regional Park, Area
"El Dorado Dog Park is the first new park opening in Long Beach
this year and the City's seventh dog park,” Mayor Foster
The 1.5-acre off-leash dog park is the first dog park in northeast
Long Beach. It has double-gate entry, separation between large and
small dog areas, a drinking fountain, benches and waste bag
dispensers. The dog park is also ADA accessible.

big dogs and a place for little dogs to have fun and socialize,"

The cost to construct the dog park was approximately $65,000, with
funding from one-time infrastructure dollars.
