Airline passenger traffic at the Long Beach Airport (LGB) increased 25 percent in June 2017 compared with the same period in 2016. Total passenger traffic includes the number of airline passengers both enplaned and deplaned.
In June 2017, LGB served 313,064 passengers compared to 250,421 in June 2016. Long Beach Airport has served 1,849,953 passengers in the first half of 2017, an increase of 46.5 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
Total air cargo carried by aircraft, both inbound and outbound, decreased 11 percent in June 2017 compared to the same time last year. In June 2017, 2,018 tons passed through LGB compared to 2,277 tons during the same period in 2016.
