On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, the Long Beach City Council voted to adopt the City of Long Beach’s balanced, $3.0 billion budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019.
“This City’s adopted FY 19 budget addresses the concerns that are important to our neighbors, the Fire and Police department, homelessness and our youth,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “I am proud that this plan will confront the City’s most pressing challenges and help move our city forward.”
“The City team worked tirelessly on the development of the coming year’s budget,” said City Manager Patrick H. West. “We addressed concerns about potential shortfalls early in the process and finished it up with a strong budget addressing homelessness, the arts, and everything in between.”
