Back by popular demand! Long Beach City Hall will once again become “Kitty Hall” on Friday, July 8, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, to encourage shelter cat adoptions and promote awareness of Long Beach Animal Care Services.
“The first Kitty Hall in September was such a big success, with 14 cats and kittens finding forever homes,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “This time we’re hoping to be bigger and better with even more animals adopted.”
This year’s kitten season has been especially busy and The P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village currently has more than 100 cats and kittens of all ages and colors to fit any lifestyle. They are waiting for families to adopt them, and dozens of them will be Kitty Hall looking for a forever home.
The public is invited to play and cuddle with the kittens and cats available for adoption in the main lobby of “Kitty Hall.” Representatives will be available to answer questions about cat ownership and accept adoption applications.
Spay and Neuter vouchers will also be available to the public at the event, along with a discounted adoption rate of $20 and other special promotions.
