LONG BEACH – On Thursday, January 18, 2018 the Secretary of State conducted a randomized alphabet drawing for the April 10, 2018 Primary Nominating Election. The randomized alphabet drawing determined the order in which candidates will appear on the ballot. On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the City of Long Beach City Council appointed unopposed candidates running for offices of Council District One, City Attorney, City Auditor, and City Prosecutor.
Long Beach Community College Board of Trustees, Area One, and Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education, District Three, have consolidated with our election and will appear on the City of Long Beach Ballot. The unopposed candidates running for offices in these districts will also be appointed.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the City of Long Beach City Council approved the ballot order of the candidates to appear on the ballot as follows:
