Virtual City Council Participation

Beginning with the July 21, 2026, City Council meeting, the City of Long Beach will offer virtual public comment, creating additional opportunities for residents to participate in local government. Pursuant to California Senate Bill 707 (SB 707), members of the public will be able to attend City Council meetings remotely and provide live public comment through a two-way audiovisual or telephonic platform.
