Economic Development Blueprint Updates

In April 2017, the Long Beach City Council approved the City’s Draft Blueprint for Economic Development (Blueprint) that focuses on advancing a 10-year vision of making Long Beach a City of opportunity for workers, investors and entrepreneurs. The Blueprint calls for an annual conference that highlights progress on the Blueprint, including a scorecard focusing on key performance indicators for local economic development. In April 2018, the City partnered with Cal State Long Beach for the 2018 Regional Economic Forum and expanded this effort in 2019 with the addition of the 2019 Blueprint Community Update.
