Release Date: 2018-05-03

The Downtown Long Beach Alliance and California State University, Long Beach’s Office of Economic Research partnered for a second year to survey downtown business owners and create the 2018 Downtown Long Beach Economic Profile.

DLBA officials said the profile is meant to be an accurate and informative tool for potential investors, businesses and developers considering putting money into the area. The 24-page report details new and proposed developments, business owner confidence, hiring plans, employment trends, commercial occupancy rates, customer spending behavior, residential makeup, housing rental rates, pedestrian counts, tourism health and the impact of DLBA programming and events.

“Having timely and relevant data allows us to best understand the progress and areas of challenge to plan for future development,” DLBA President and CEO Kraig Kojian said when the profile was released last week.
