The Place Breaks Ground At The Streets Downtown

The Place at The Streets, a new 20-unit residential and mixed-use development on Fifth Street and Promenade North, broke ground last week.

Construction fencing now surrounds the perimeter of the site and crews are expected to keep working through completion in the spring of 2019, according to Tony Shooshani, managing member of Shooshani Developers and owners of The Streets.

When it’s complete, The Place will offer more housing in downtown’s core as well as a variety of new retail spaces that will compliment one another and support the current demand, Shooshani said.

“The downtown area is now flourishing with new activity and growth,” he said. “We are making every effort to create the right balance of work, eat, live and play at The Streets that will enhance the existing surroundings and appeal to today’s audiences.”
