Non-Profit Relief Grant and Telehealth License Grant

Applications are now available for two new City grants designed to support non-profit organizations located in Long Beach. These grants will provide general operating support to non-profits that have been financially burdened by COVID-19 and help non-profit mental health agencies obtain a telehealth subscription.

CARES Act Non-Profit Relief Grant

The CARES Act Non-Profit Relief Grant will support existing Long Beach non-profits experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. Eligible non-profits may apply for grants to maintain their operations and enable them to continue to provide services to the community.

A total of $200,000 is available to issue grants that cover eligible expenses related to COVID-19. Non-profits with annual operating revenue greater than $500,000 will be eligible to apply for a $10,000 grant and non-profits with annual operating revenue less than $500,000 will be eligible to apply for a $5,000 grant.

The following is a summary of the eligible expenditures for the Non-Profit Relief Grant:

  • Commercial rent
  • Inventory
  • Payroll
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Furniture, fixtures, and equipment that help non-profits safely operate during COVID-19
  • Technology solutions that help organizations safely operate and transition to digital services

CARES Act Telehealth License Grant

This funding opportunity is for Long Beach non-profit mental health agencies to subscribe to a telehealth license to administer mental health services over an online platform. This will increase mental health access to Long Beach residents who are uninsured or under-insured while adhering to Safer-At-Home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonprofits must currently lack a telehealth subscription. Grants are available on a first-come, first served basis. A total of $30,000 is available to issue 15 awards to nonprofit organizations for $2,000.
