Food Trucks

The City of Long Beach is developing rules and regulations for food trucks. The City has captured community input through engagement efforts such as a citywide survey and community meetings.

Food Truck Community Meetings – April 27^th (in person) and May 3 (virtual)

The City hosted two community meetings to seek feedback on the development of food truck regulations for Long Beach. Feedback from the community meetings will help inform food truck regulations that address the needs and concerns of food trucks, residents, business owners, and other stakeholders. Community members were encouraged to join the conversation by participating in one of the two meetings. 

The community meetings were conducted in English with Spanish interpretation. The first meeting took place on April 27, 2023 (in person), and on May 3, 2023 (virtual). Below is a copy of the presentation in English, Spanish, and Khmer.

Food Truck Survey

To better understand the interest, opportunities and concerns with food trucks, the City of Long Beach seeks your input. The following survey is anonymous unless you choose to share your contact information. We are gathering community feedback regarding food trucks to inform the development of rules and regulations.

The Food Truck Survey will capture your thoughts on food trucks and the frequency and location of food truck operations seen in Long Beach. To understand who is taking the survey, demographic questions are also included.

Sidewalk Vending

The City of Long Beach is developing rules and regulations for sidewalk vending. The City has captured community input through engagement efforts such as a citywide survey and community meetings. Results of the outreach and recommendations are scheduled for City Council consideration during item #17 at the May 16, 2023 City Council meeting. The attachments for this item, including proposed recommendations, can be viewed here. Sidewalk Vending Community Meetings – January 2023

The City of Long Beach hosted two Sidewalk Vending Community Feedback Meetings on January 26th and 30th to seek community feedback on the development of sidewalk vending regulations for Long Beach. Feedback from the community meetings will be utilized to help inform sidewalk vending regulations that address the needs and concerns of sidewalk vendors, residents, business owners and other stakeholders. Recommended regulations are anticipated to be presented for the City Council’s consideration in early 2023.
