SALARY*

FIRE RECRUIT - ENTRY LEVEL

$36.69 per hour while in the academy

Entry Level Retirement Plan

(P.E.R.S.) - 2.7% for each year worked upon reaching 57 years of age

Platoon work schedule- 56 hours a week (after the academy).

INCENTIVE PAY

The Long Beach Fire Department provides a number of incentive pay opportunities as an added benefit to firefighters. Listed below are pay incentives that eligible firefighters may receive in addition to their base salary.
