Step 7: Selection
Applicants who pass all aspects of the background investigation and medical screening phase of the hiring process are presented to the Selection Committee of the Long Beach Fire Department. The most qualified candidates will be selected, based on positions available, as a Fire Recruit for entrance into the Long Beach Fire Academy.
