2nd Alarm Fire at Vehicle Collision Repair Center
At 4:24 AM today, Long Beach Fire Department resources responded to the 1400 block of Long Beach Blvd. for a reported structure fire. The first arriving engine company reported "heavy fire and smoke through the roof" of an unoccupied vehicle collision repair center with difficult access, resulting in a 2nd alarm request for additional units. The main body of the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes and the building sustained moderate to heavy damage. No firefighter injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
