Long Beach Fire Department units, in addition to several CHP resources, were dispatched shortly after 11pm last night to an injury traffic accident involving a motorcyclist down and an unknown number of vehicles.  Three patients were treated on scene and ultimately transported to area trauma centers, one in critical condition with a lower leg amputation.  No further details are available and the accident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
