Long Beach Fire Department Personnel responded to a single vehicle accident last night at approximately 11:05 pm at the 6th St. on-ramp to the N/B 710 Freeway.  A single occupant of the vehicle, a female in her 20's, crashed through the guardrail and continued down a 50' embankment coming to rest on its roof at the intersection of Chester Place & Fairbanks Ave.  A 16 year-old teen, on his computer at the time, heard the crash and looked out the window of his residence and saw the female driver still strapped in the vehicle upside down.  He immediately came to the woman's aid using a pocket knife tool to break the window of the vehicle, extricated the woman and assisted her to a safe area approximately 30' away.  The female driver was transported with minor injuries to an area trauma hospital.  The accident is under investigation.
