Latest Updates - July 2024
The construction crew mobilized in late November 2023 and demolition work began on the flooring, walls, concrete slabs and removal of the HVAC systems on the rooftop. In the existing building, trenching and installation of new drain lines for the building, framing walls, drywall and installation of a new roof is in progress. A new energy efficient HVAC system will be installed in July 2024 along with finish tape walls, paint, and new interior ceilings. Additionally, the stand-alone gym building foundation and walls are proceeding on schedule.

February 2024 Update
The City's Contractor, PCN3, began work in November 2023 and is scheduled to be completed, barring weather or other unforeseen delays, by Late 2024.
The contractor is scheduled to perform work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Parking impacts for residents is not expected.

Project Information
The Fire Station 14 Project is located at 5200 East Eliot Street and is informed by the Facility Condition Assessment. Health and safety improvements are scheduled to upgrade plumbing, electrical systems, abatement of materials containing lead and asbestos, roof replacement, smoke alarm system, fire station alerting system, and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliant path of travel from the public right-of-way and accessible first floor restroom. Additional upgrades to enhance building configuration, gender accommodations, privacy modifications, and new gym space.
Project Funding
The Fire Station 14 Project is currently supported by $4,895,000 in Measure A funds and $800,000 in other City funds.
