PROJECT-BASED VOUCHERS (PBV)

The Project Based Vouchers (PBV) Program is designed to offer assistance to individuals and families residing in designated apartment buildings that meet specific criteria. This program uniquely ties a voucher to a particular unit within a specific property. It is important to note that if you currently reside in a unit with a PBV and decide to move, the Section 8 assistance associated with the voucher may remain with the property. However, the voucher itself does not automatically move with you. Currently, the Housing Authority administers the PBV program throughout the City of Long Beach for specific buildings, each with its own set of admission criteria.
