Bicillin Distribution Program:
Long Beach Department of Health & Human Services has created a Bicillin (BIC) Distribution Program to help providers in the community overcome obstacles to treat syphilis. The purpose of this program is to lessen the number of patients lost to follow-up in the referral process & increase the timeliness of treatment.
For any questions about the program or to fufill a BIC request, please contact the HIV/STI Hotline at 562-570-4321. |
Provider Education Program:
The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services (LBDHHS) has created a Provider Education Program to support providers in the community on clinical topics such as syphilis and congenital syphilis. The LBDHHS will work with the provider to understand and overcome barriers when staging, and treating patients infected with syphilis or congenital syphilis and will work together to improve patient care to reduce syphilis rates in Long Beach.
