Not in school or working? Looking for your next step? Futures First helps you connect to opportunities, resources, and community so you can thrive.

Ready to get plugged in? 

  • Step 1: Fill out the Interest Form 
  • Step 2: If you are eligible, we will contact you with an orientation date.
    • Orientations are hosted every other Friday at the LBWIN Youth Career Services Center)
  • Step 3: Meet your Life Coach and start building your plan

  • What You'll Get

    • 1:1 Mentorship - Goal setting and resource navigation (housing, food, health, transportation)
    • Career Exploration & Paid Work Experience - Discover career options and gain hands-on experience through internships and paid opportunities
    • Monthly Wellness Events - Build balance, skills, and community connections
    • Paid 2-Day Retreat - Music, art, leadership, free food/transportation
    • Career & Education Pathways - College, entrepreneurship, career training, or Space Beach opportunities

  • Who Can Join

    • 16 to 24 years old
    • Live in Long Beach or nearby
    • Are not in school and not working (or attending a WIOA-eligible alternative school)
