Long Beach Trauma and Resiliency Taskforce

Long Beach DHHS is the recipient of the First 5 Los Angeles Commission on Children and The California Endowment funding to support the on-going work of the Long Beach Trauma and Resiliency Informed Task Force (LBTRIT). With this funding, DHHS seeks to develop and strengthen a cross systems, citywide trauma- and resiliency-informed approach to address concerns in communities impacted by persistent trauma.

Trauma-Informed Systems Initiative (TIS)
The Trauma Informed Systems Trauma Initiative is an organizational change model to provide education, training and the adoption of trauma-informed practices citywide. The mission of this work is to foster healing environments to increase resilience, improve the workforce experience, as well as supporting organizations in appropriately responding to trauma. The vision is to transform systems that induce trauma to systems that recognize and reduce trauma through the cultivation of healing to promote safe and healthy working environment centered on wellbeing.
