The City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Service's Travel Immunization Clinic provides comprehensive disease prevention services to help ensure happy and safe journeys for clients traveling to foreign countries where certain immunizations may be required or recommended. During the appointment, the travel nurse will review the itinerary and make recommendations based on countries traveled, length of stay, and remoteness of areas visited.

The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services Travel Clinic provides a comprehensive service that includes:

  • Vaccinations
  • Vaccination Certificates
  • Helpful safety tips for travelers
  • Malaria prevention prescriptions
  • Prescription for Traveler's Diarrhea

We offer a qualified, professional staff that will provide you with current recommendations and travel information, so that your trip can be safe and enjoyable. 

Vaccines available at the Travel Clinic include:

  • Polio
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Rabies
  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid
  • Hepatitis B
  • Yellow fever
  • Japanese encephalitis
  • Pneumonococcal
  • Meningococcal
  • Tetanus/Diptheria
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)

Cost: Travel clinic cost is $40 plus cost of vaccinations and certifications. There is also a $18 follow-up assessment fee.
