The City of Long Beach is proud to be recognized as a Certified Age Friendly Employer (CAFE) by the Age Friendly Institute. This certification represents our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace for employees of all ages. The Age Friendly Institute’s Certified Age Friendly Employer (CAFE) program recognizes employers who prioritize age inclusivity in the workplace, specifically for ages 50 and over. Since 2006, the program has highlighted organizations committed to valuing the contributions of older workers and providing meaningful opportunities of all age groups.
