Deputy Inspector Information

Deputy inspectors are third-party inspectors that are required by the Long Beach Municipal Code on construction jobs in the City. While deputy inspectors are not City employees, they are required to be properly licensed to operate and provide specialty inspections in Long Beach. The City monitors the work of third-party deputy inspectors to ensure the requirements of the Long Beach Municipal Code and the safe construction of buildings in Long Beach. The building official shall be notified prior to the commencement of any special inspection activity and prior to issuing a final report. The notification should be made to the City no later than 3:00 p.m. of the previous working day of the job assignment by completing the online form linked below:
