Ready-To-Issue Permits for Approved Plans
Once your plans have been reviewed, approved and are in the ready-to-issue status, you will receive an email from your plan reviewer with instructions on how to obtain your building permit. Learn more about IB-029 Eligibility to Obtain a Construction Permit.
Permits are issued in person at our Development Permit Center. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are highly encouraged to help minimize wait times and best serve customers. Walk-ins are not accepted between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. or after 3:30 p.m.
Please bring the completed and signed permit documents below to your appointment:
In-person appointments are available Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, and on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, excluding holidays. Please note that we are limiting the number of appointments per customer to one per day. For each appointment, a limit of up to two projects may be processed based on the service.
When scheduling your in-person appointment, please include the project number and address in the “Notes” field in Step 3: Contact Details (see figure below):
