The Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC) assists neighborhood and community organizations to increase their effectiveness and improve their neighborhoods by providing a variety of resources and tools.

Upcoming Free Workshops

Join us for National Communty Development Week's Neighborhood Leadership Program (NLP) Community Workshop!

When: Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 6 – 7 p.m.
Where: Silverado Park (1545 W. 31st St.)

The NLP assists grassroots residents and provides them with the skills, knowledge and resources to make a difference in the quality of life in our community. This program is free to participants and is partially funded through the Federal Community Development Block Grant program.

Spanish interpretation will be available. Attendees requiring interpretation services in another language must register 72 hours in advance.

Registration is optional but encouraged by RSVPing online or calling 562.570.1010.

Do you need to drop off an application or pick up supplies for your neighborhood association in person? The Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC) has been added to the variety of services offered at City Hall’s 2nd floor Developmnent Permit Center.

Appointments for NRC services are available from 1 – 4 p.m. on Mondays and 9  11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Walk-in customers are also welcomed during these days and times, but appointments are highly encouraged to help minimize wait times and best serve customers.
