Home Improvement Expo
Since 2025, the Community Development Department has held the Home Improvement Expo annually during National Home Improvement Month. The purpose of the Expo is to connect Long Beach residents with local experts in remodeling, ADUs, window upgrades, solar installation, sustainable gardening and other topics. City staff are available throughout the event to answer questions about permitting, inspections, code enforcement and more. The day includes giveaways and family-friendly activities, including a seed-planting project for kids — all for free.
