ANNIE KINNER HOUSE

This two-story house is a rare survivor from the 19th century, witness to the large-scale homes that were built on a major street in the city's pioneer days. It is intact and unaltered, with many archaic interior features. It was remodeled in the Craftsman style in 1920, and the architectural overlay of the later remodel is legible. The architecture combines Victorian and Craftsman, two important stages in the architectural history of Long Beach. Today the house stands out as a reminder of Long Beach's earliest residential history on a busy commercial arterial.
