Permitting/Planning
The City of Long Beach has developed updated Victory/Santa Cruz Park Design Guidelines to guide future park improvements that work towards creating an inviting public space that is attractive, sustainable and serves as a rich amenity for Downtown residents, workers and visitors.
The Guidelines establish design priorities and programming components for the park, including furnishings, landscaping and other design elements. Prior to this, the Guidelines had not been updated since the 1980s.
The public review period for the final draft of the guidelines was open from April 24 through June 9, 2023, and went before the Planning Commission on October 19, 2023.
The proposed updated Guidelines will be considered by the City Council for adoption on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 5 p.m.
Long Beach City College Liberal Arts Campus, Building T, Room 1100
4901 E. Carson St.
Parking is available at the PS1 Parking Structure (on map, entry off Clark Avenue)
The meeting can be viewed from your computer, tablet or smartphone via: longbeach.gov/LBTV or youtube.com/longbeachtelevision/streams.
Members of the public have the option of making in-person public comments. Public comment can also be submitted online by emailing to CityClerk@longbeach.gov.
