The State of California, through its California Green Building Standards Code, requires that certain construction and/or demolition projects within each local jurisdiction divert at least 65% of non-hazardous construction and demolition debris for recycling or salvage. The Building and Safety Bureau is updating its list of Certified Construction and Demolition (C&D) Recycling Facilities to assist homeowners and contractors with their construction waste diversion. For consideration for inclusion on the Certified C&D Recycling Facilities list, please contact Georgia Pon at georgia.pon@longbeach.gov.
