Glass Safety Measures
To protect collection crews and the community:
- Wrap all large glass items before pickup. This includes glass tabletops, mirrors, windows and other large glass pieces.
- Use sturdy materials such as cardboard, heavyduty plastic or another covering that fully contains the item.
- Unwrapped glass can break during handling and create a safety hazard for workers and the surrounding community.
Glass items that are not properly wrapped will not be collected. If your item is not collected, wrap it securely and schedule a new special collection day.
