Compliance Requirements for City Facilities and Special Events

The EPS Ordinance requires all City Departments, City Facilities, and Special Events permitted in the City to prohibit the use of Expanded Polystyrene Foam, Rigid Polystyrene Plastic #6, and all other Non-Recyclable or Non-Compostable Materials.

The 2020 amendments additionally require all food vendors to only offer straws and utensils upon request and straws must not be made from Plastic or Bioplastic. (To comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, a Plastic Beverage Straw may be given upon request to individuals with disabilities).
