The entrance is located at on the west end of the airfield off Cherry Ave. at 3590 East Wardlow Road, Long Beach, CA. 90807. Do not put “Long Beach Airport” into your maps, or you will end up on the wrong side of the airport.
Two parking locations are available for Festival of Flight:
- Onsite Event Parking: Limited parking is located near the event entrance at the intersection of E Wardlow Rd and Globemaster Way at 3590 East Wardlow Road, Long Beach, CA. 90807.
- Overflow Parking: For additional parking, you can utilize our overflow lot located at 3840 Kilroy Airport Way. Complimentary shuttle services to and from the Festival of Flight will be provided from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The centennial celebration’s lineup of aircraft is expected to be the biggest ever, with over 40 aircraft on static display, including a C-17, a KC-10, a B-17 built right here in Long Beach, and a P-51 flown by Tuskegee Airmen. The B-17 Flying Fortress Sentimental Journey is one of only four currently flying in the world out of approximately 12,000 that were manufactured for combat during World War II. Rides will be available for purchase in this historic aircraft in the days before and after the Festival of Flight. With a nod to the future, Wisk Aero also plans to display its self-flying, all-electric air taxi at the event. (aircraft displays subject to change)
Attendees are advised to bring water and sunscreen, wear sensible shoes and be prepared to be outdoors, rain or shine. Coolers will not be allowed, and bags will be subject to search. Festival of Flight is a free community event; attendees do not need a ticket or registration.
Attendees may bring food and beverages to the event. Alcohol will not be permitted. Coolers will not be allowed, and bags will be subject to search. A variety or food trucks will be available.
Service animals will be permitted, but pets will not. Keep in mind that the pavement on the airfield may get too hot to walk a dog safely.
