California State Library Parks Pass
Long Beach Public Library is partnering with California State Parks (CA State Parks), the California State Library, and the First Partner's Office to offer free vehicle-day use passes to participating state parks. The Parks Pass is valid for entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway-licensed motorcycle.
The California State Library Parks Pass is a vehicle hangtag that provides free vehicle day-use entry for one passenger vehicle with a capacity of nine people or less, or one highway licensed motorcycle.
The Parks Pass is valid any day of the week, including holidays, if space is available. Pass does not guarantee parking space.

The Parks Pass is valid at over 200 participating state park units of the California State Park System.

Search "Parks Pass" in our catalog and place a hold on the item for pickup at any LBPL location.
Patrons can check out a single Parks Pass for 3 weeks (or 21 days), with the option to renew 1 time if there are no holds on the pass.
Passes will stay on hold for 3 open days. View Hours and Holidays to see when the Library is open.
Passes can be returned to any LBPL location, but must be returned to staff inside at circulation desks. Please do not return passes in book drops.
No, there are no extended use fees for Parks Passes. However, patrons may be charged a replacement fee for long-overdue passes.
Please notify LBPL staff if your pass is lost or stolen. There are no replacement fees for lost passes. CA State Parks de-activates lost, stolen, and long-overdue passes.
Some veterans are already eligible for free passes to the California State Parks through the Distinguished Veterans Pass program.
