Volunteer Opportunities
The Long Beach Public Library Volunteer Program assists the Library in carrying out its mission to meet the information needs of our culturally diverse and dynamic population.
The Library recruits adult and teen volunteers on a continuous basis to assist staff with projects and to provide customer service support. We also support the Long Beach Unified School District's Service Learning Program by offering Service Learning volunteer opportunities for high school students.
Depending on need, the Long Beach Public Library accepts:
- General Teen Volunteers
- Weekly scheduled volunteers, OR
- Special events volunteers
- General Adult Volunteers
- LB Reads Tutor Volunteers
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Long Beach Public Library!
We are currently accepting applications for:
- Teen Volunteers (PDF)
- LB Reads Volunteers
- For General Adult Volunteer opportunities please contact your local Neighborhood Library and ask about volunteering.
Send an email to lbpl_volunteers@lbpl.org or call the Library at (562) 570-7500.
