The Creativity Lab Summer Camp at a Glance

Throughout the Creativity Lab summer camp series, students explore the textures and layers of Long Beach’s history, geography, and culture, from its Indigenous roots to the diverse communities that shape it today. Guided by the question, “What is Long Beach to you?”, participants will deepen their understanding of the city’s multifaceted identity and develop the confidence to express their unique stories.
Explore Art and Design
Students will participate in art-making activities like photography, collage, digital illustration and more; using these mediums to explore themes of community, culture, and civic life.

Discover Our Vibrant City
Students will explore various locations within our vibrant city to gain a sense of place, history, and how students can shape the future.
