Teachers
Long Beach Public Library (LBPL) is here to support teachers! We offer educational resources for all levels as well as teaching guides that can be accessed from home or school through our Digital Library.
We also welcome classroom visits to introduce your students to the Library and provide literacy and learning support. Start a new classroom tradition at LBPL!
Miss Humblebee's Academy
Gale Presents: Miss Humblebee’s Academy prepares children to succeed in kindergarten with interactive, guided, and self-paced lessons that support diverse learning styles. Nearly half of the activities are designed for offline use, including printable resources for STEAM. It also offers assessment, progress, and performance reports.
TeachingBooks
Discover book guides, lesson plans, literature-based vocabulary lists, author videos and book readings, and more with TeachingBooks.
We welcome group visits to our LBPL locations! Advanced arrangements are required. For full details, see our Group Visit Guidelines under Library Policies.
Let us know of upcoming assignments! We'll pull materials from our collection to have ready to support your students visiting the Library.
Contact us with the assignment details along with your school, grade, and local Neighborhood Library, 2 to 3 weeks prior to the assignment announcement.
