New Sessions Start Each Month for Gale Courses

Gale Courses Newscard
Gale Courses is no longer available at the Long Beach Public Library as of 11/29/2022. We encourage you to try one of our other online class resources in the Digital Library.

Whether you want to learn a new hobby or learn a new skill for a job, Gale Courses is sure to have a class for you. Take free courses on health and wellness, creative writing, computer programming, business management, GED test preparation, and much more. All courses are 6 weeks long and new sessions start every month. Coursework is available 24/7, so these classes will fit into any schedule.

Long Beach Public Library patrons can take these classes for free. The courses are entirely web-based with comprehensive lessons, assignments, and quizzes. A college-level instructor coordinates every course by facilitating discussions, answering questions, and giving feedback.

Patrons can enroll and participate in courses from home, use the library's public computers, or check out a Chromebook or mifi through LBPL Tech To-Go. For more information about the various courses offered or to enroll in a course, visit Gale Courses in the Digital Library.
