California State Parks Passes Are Here!
Parks passes are now available to checkout from all LBPL locations!
What to Know
Through a new initiative from California State Parks, First Partner's Office and the California State Library we have received and will begin circulating free vehicle day use passes to our Long Beach Public Library patrons.
The Parks Pass is valid for entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle.
This interactive map shows State Parks and Beaches that are participating in this program. A list of ineligible parks is here. More information here.

Parks passes are searchable in our catalog and can be placed on hold.
How long is the checkout period?
Passes will check out for 1 week (or 7 days), with the option to renew 1 time if no one is waiting.
Where can I return my pass when I'm done with it?
Passes can be returned to any LBPL location, but must be returned inside to circulation desks. Please do not return passes in outdoor book returns.

Please notify LBPL staff if your pass is lost or stolen. There will be no replacement fees for lost passes, CA State Parks will de-activate lost passes.
