LBPL Now Offers Coursera and Skillshare
For the month of November, we’re showcasing the latest additions to the Digital Library: Coursera and Skillshare. Funded by the State and administered by the California State Library, Coursera and Skillshare are a part of Career Pathways, a collection of online learning platforms to help you prepare for entering the workforce or getting a better job!
Coursera is your place for flexible, job and career online learning—whether you are looking for a new skill or a new job. By partnering with over 275 leading universities and companies like UC San Diego, University of Washington, State University of New York, Google, and Intel, Coursera brings in-demand educational and job skills to individuals and companies. Coursera also contains Professional Certificate programs that can prepare anyone (no college degree or experience required!) to start entry-level positions in tech and business.
Use Skillshare to deepen your passions or start new hobbies. Skillshare provides creative, business, technology, and lifestyle classes taught by experts and industry rockstars who share their experience, wisdom, and trusted tools with you. You also get access to a community that will empower you to achieve your goals with tips and helpful project feedback.
These latest additions to the Digital Library are free to use on any computer or mobile device inside or outside LBPL. All you need to do is sign up for an account using the instructions in our Digital Library.
